This page explains how content on Fitness With Fun is produced, so that you can judge for yourself how much weight to give it.

Our purpose and scope

Fitness With Fun publishes general educational content about beginner fitness: walking, home exercise, building habits, and choosing basic gear. We do not provide medical care, diagnosis, treatment, or personalized training programmes, and our content should not be used as a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. See our Medical Disclaimer.

Sourcing

Health and exercise statements in our guides are based on guidance from public health bodies and recognized professional organizations, including the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the UK National Health Service (NHS), the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and on peer-reviewed research published in reputable journals. We link to sources within articles and list them at the end. Where we cite a single study, we try to say what it found and what its limitations were rather than presenting it as settled fact. We do not cite manufacturers’ marketing material as evidence.

How content is written: AI assistance and human review

We are transparent about our process. Drafts of our guides are produced with the help of an AI writing assistant (Anthropic’s Claude), working from the sources listed in each article, which are opened and checked during drafting. Every draft is then reviewed and edited by the site’s editor before publication, who is responsible for what is published. [OWNER: confirm this description matches your actual review process, and adjust the wording if, for example, you also use other tools or reviewers.]

We do not fabricate personal experience, product testing, expert review, credentials, testimonials or results. Where a guide describes an exercise or a plan, it is a general illustration based on the cited guidance, not a report of something we tested on readers. If an article is ever reviewed by a qualified professional, we will say so by name on that article; we do not claim medical or expert review by default.

Independence and affiliate relationships

At the time of writing, Fitness With Fun has no affiliate relationships, sponsorships or advertising arrangements, and our gear guides do not recommend specific brands or products. If that changes, we will disclose it clearly on every affected page and in our Affiliate Disclosure, and any commercial relationship will not influence what we write. We do not accept payment for coverage.

Accuracy and updates

Public health guidance changes. We aim to review guides periodically and update them when guidance or evidence changes, and we show a “last updated” date where the site supports it. [OWNER: confirm whether Astra’s post modified date is displayed, or add a manual date.]

Corrections

If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, please tell us via the Contact page, ideally with a link to the source that contradicts us. We will check it, correct the article if we were wrong, and note the correction at the bottom of the article where it is material.
